Hangar guide: upgrades, flags and camouflage

The Hangar is where your tank grows between missions. It has three tabs.

Upgrades

The Upgrades tab is the first one you see, and it is the one that affects how your tank performs in battle. Each upgrade has several levels, and each level costs a little more than the last.

A sensible spending order

  1. Survivability first. In the early levels most failures come from taking too much damage. Upgrades that keep you alive give you more time to aim.
  2. Then firepower. Once you survive comfortably, upgrades that let you destroy enemies faster shorten every fight.
  3. Then mobility. A faster tank can reposition between shots and reach good firing angles before enemies react.

Spreading your rewards evenly usually works better than maxing a single upgrade, because each additional level costs more.

Flags

The Flags tab lets you display a national flag on your tank. Your flag is a matter of pride rather than power – it does not change your tank's statistics – but it shows other players where you stand on the leaderboard.

Camouflage

The Camouflage tab changes your tank's paint scheme. Like flags, camouflage is cosmetic. Pick the pattern you enjoy looking at; you will be seeing your tank in the Hangar a lot.

Optional rewards

Some rewards can be boosted by watching a short optional video. This is never required: every upgrade can be earned simply by playing missions.
